About my Christmas! :.: snow :.: 2011 is almost over! :.: 6 months
Woohoo! I am so excited for another blog post. Hopefully this post finds you all well. I apologize for not keeping up with your blogs as much as I should, but I plan to start reading your blogs again. I'm happy to be busy and have things going on in my life again, but sometimes it's hard to keep up with everything! Hehe.
Well, I guess I should first start out by saying that it is snowing. I snapped some pictures today... with and without the flash on.
Allow me to be the first to tell you how HAPPY I am to be closer to work. Although this is has been almost a snow-less December, I will be happy not to drive 35 minutes to and from work during the times that snow does get really nasty. I am so thankful to be closer in town to everything. It's nice!
Speaking of work, I would like to say that today marks 6 months since I got hired at Panera. And I'm happy to say that a lot has happened since then. :)
Well, this will be considered my Christmas entry! I had a really great Christmas. I was happy to have the day with family, and then to have the privilege of going back to my apartment after all the activities and get together. We had a beautiful time. However, before I begin talking about Christmas day, I am going to back up about two weeks and talk about my first Christmas get together. I met up with three of my high school friends: Stacey, Krista and Cindy. The three of them met up with me at Ryan's Steakhouse, and then we came to my apartment, talked, laughed and had a very good time! I got some pictures. :)
From left to right: Cindy, Krista, me (Rebecca), and Stacey.
And that was my last hangout with friends. We really enjoyed the time together. It's funny how ladies first plan to see a movie after supper, and then they find themselves talking, laughing and taking pictures instead. It makes me wonder if guys have that same tendency. :)
Okay... NOW, we can fast forward to Christmas day! Christmas was really good this year. Now, a good chunk of my presents were already purchased when I moved into the apartment on December 1st (dishes, glasses, tupperware, a new microwave, toaster, food, etc), but the other part of my Christmas was also really nice! First of all, here was my parents' Christmas tree this year.
I was foolish enough to not charge my camera on Christmas, so I'm relying on my parents for "family get together" pictures (HI, MOM! hehe. Take your time.), but I do have pictures of my presents. Along with these gifts, I got some money and gift cards. :)
Some more kitchen/baking/cooking things.
A mixer! And here's me feeling inspired of all the possibilities in my kitchen.
I have NEVER read Twilight or seen the movies. So, I asked for the first book and movie for Christmas. I promise to read the book first. :)
I fell in love with this movie awhile back. It's interesting how my tastes in movies have either stayed the same, developed more, or changed completely over the years!
Hats/gloves are also something I grew into. I love this beanie hat, and these tipless gloves/mittens set!
And my big gift was... a KINDLE. Yes, watch out. I am slowly entering the world of electronic books. But I am not there yet. I still have to finish setting up and registering my Kindle before I start downloading books. Hey! I'm a little slow with electronics. I'm going to need a few days to learn how the Kindle works, how it operates, etc.
And that was my Christmas this year! It's hard to believe that another Christmas has come and gone again. Well, 363 days until next Christmas. Haha! Nah, I won't really be counting down for a LONG time. But 2012 does begin in 5 days. And my 24th birthday is in 2 days. Good things come in the beginning and end of the year.
Well, I am currently at the library. Loving it here! Well, I will be heading back to the apartment soon. It looks like the snow has stopped for a little bit.
Have a wonderful Tuesday evening, everyone! Hoping to blog again soon!

Looks like you got some neat stuff for Christmas, including all the baking stuff and the Kindle (I don't actually have a tablet, but I don't read much either). Plus it looks like you guys had a fun time hanging out at your apartment too. I'm glad you got it, it's nice to have your own space and really weird coming back home to live with the parents after living on your own during college. Plus you'll probably get along a lot better now that you're not living with them anymore, hehe.

Oh wow! Snow! That's something that I'm not hoping to see. However, we've been lucky that it hasn't snowed yet this year. Looks like you had a great Christmas! You'll love the Kindle! I'm obsessed with mine!
