Oh! I mean... I AM *WRITING* IN MY BLOG! Right here, right now. :D
This is a really good feeling. I apologize for the HUGE gap in entries between November 9th and now, but I have been super busy within these past two months! Life has started to pick up and get exciting for me again. For awhile, I was thinking that my life was "on hold" because there was nothing to blog about. But now, I have so much to blog about, and I've been trying to find the time to squeeze an entry in, and I am SO happy that I have the chance to blog today.
Well, first of all, I've decided to give my blog a makeover, and this includes colors, fonts, backgrounds, and... the blog title! I'm actually still brainstorming titles, but I thought "As one chapter ends, the next one begins" was a decent temporary one.
So... what have I been up to lately?
Well, first of all, I am still working at Panera Bread. It is going pretty well. We've recently been bought by a new owner, so many changes have been in effect. I don't think the changes are good or bad, but some of them have been taking some getting used to. But for the most part, I still enjoy Panera. I'm still a cashier, and each day I am still learning something new. I don't think I'll ever have a day of not learning something new. Hehe. Also, I'm approaching 6 months since I have been hired. And I do sa that these 6 months have passed quickly! :D
In other news, I have recently ended ONE chapter in my life! This chapter lasted from 2007 to 2011. Yes, I have officially "graduated" or walked in the December commencement at MVNU. My college career took place at Evangel and MVNU, and MVNU is where I finished. Or, "the Naz" as it is well known. It's funny, because I finished college back in June, and I received my degree in August. At first I was really upset that I couldn't walk in May, but looking back now, I think December was a better fit for me. Here are some pictures! :D

And that was my college graduation! So, now I have moved onto the next chapter in my life, and that is... moving out of my parents' house and getting an apartment!
I love my parents, but during these past several months after college, I was really frustrated on still being at home and longing for more independence, and I was really hoping/praying that something would open up or work out. And... within a few days of research, phone calls, and apartment visits, I found a studio apartment (perfect size for 1 person!) that is A LOT closer to work! I am so excited! :D
I moved in on December 1st, which was 9 days before the commencement ceremony.
And I've been really happy since I've moved in. I love the apartment. It's a very small apartment, so when you walk in, the entire place is pretty much there. But it's a huge blessing, and it's been giving me a lot of space and time to think about things so far. I've signed a 6-month lease for the time being.
One thing I'll add is that I LOVE being closer to work! Driving to and from Panera for 35 minutes both ways when I lived with my parents really used up the gas in my dad's car! Now, I'm about a 6-8 minute drive from work, and I love it. :)
Well, here are some beginning apartment pictures. There will be LOTS more on Facebook, as well as captions, later this afternoon.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, and Merry Christmas! :D
P.S. I do not have Internet for the apartment yet, but I'm finding many Wi-Fi spots so far. Hehe. I just wish there were more hours in the day. :)
I like the pictures of the apartment! Yeah it is small but it looks like enough for just you. I'm guessing the couch folds into a bed for you to sleep on? It's always weird in a studio trying to figure out because there's just one room haha.
ReplyDeleteIt's neat that you graduated in December, I think. Usually that's better than May because more people graduate in May, so December commencement is a smaller crowd and no fighting for seats for family, etc.
Glad to see you blogging again too!
